No, this isn’t science fiction! It’s space age science from AGERA®, the maker of a full line of medical based skin care products that utilize a revolutionary nanotechnology delivery system. With nanodelivery, AGERA® has solved the problem of getting nutrients past the protective outer layers of your skin to the deep inner layers where they are needed.
The skin is our body’s protective barrier, keeping unwanted bacteria, viruses, and chemicals out. Even the best skin care ingredients will fail if they cannot penetrate this protective barrier. To be effective, therefore, a skin care product must incorporate not only superior ingredients, but also an effective delivery system for those ingredients.
AGERA® products work by delivering a synergistic blend of vitamins and antioxidants through the skin via nanodelivery. Nanodelivery allows nutrient molecules 100,000 times smaller than a grain of sand to quickly and deeply penetrate the skin’s protective barrier and reach the layers underneath. Once there, these bioactive ingredients go to work in the skin, restoring damaged and aged cells to a more healthy and youthful state. The end result is a beautiful, glowing complexion.

Come explore instant long-lasting wrinkle correction at Ohio Plastic Surgeons.
At Ohio Plastic Surgeons, many of our patients are now enjoying the benefits of Restylane, a long-lasting wrinkle corrector made of a safe, natural formulation.
Restylane is an FDA-approved dermal (skin) filler composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the human body. This biocompatible, non-animal based substance requires no allergy testing and breaks down thoroughly in the body, leaving no trace behind. Restylane is used to fill deep lines and wrinkles in the face, such as the naso-labial folds between the nose and lips, and to add fullness to the lips.
Restylane is injected into the skin with a super-fine needle, so any discomfort is minimal. For individuals with sensitive skin, however, a topical anesthetic can be administered prior to treatment. Results with Restylane typically last for six months or longer, and treatments can be repeated as desired.
Easy and convenient, Restylane treatments can be done over your lunch hour and results are immediate. To learn more about Restylane , or any of our other facial rejuvenation or plastic surgery procedures in Columbus, Ohio, call (866) 377-1780 or contact Ohio Plastic Surgeons by email. Q How does Perlane® work?
A Perlane® is injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle. It plumps the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds. Perlane®’s water-loving nature attracts and binds water molecules to help maintain volume.
Perlane® is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. The hyaluronic acid in Perlane® is a crystal clear gel that is chemically cross-linked (the long chemical strands are tied together) to delay breakdown by skin enzymes. Perlane® is non-animal-based and free from animal protein. This quality prevents disease transmission. Allergy pre-testing is not necessary
Q How long does Perlane® last?
A Perlane® is proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that Perlane® effects generally last about six months as shown in the following graphs. Perlane® gradually disappears from the body without a trace.
Q How much do Perlane® treatments cost?
A Perlane® is a customized procedure based on your specific needs, so the cost will vary from patient to patient. In general, the cost of Perlane® is comparable to the cost of similar procedures. Because Perlane® is long lasting, it may prove to be very economical over the long term. Please ask your doctor to give you an estimate of the cost.
Q Is Perlane® safe?
Perlane® has been used safely by dermatologists and plastic surgeons since 2000 worldwide. Is should only be administered by a Board Certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Steven Robinson.
Q Who should not use Perlane®?
A Perlane® should not be used by people with previous bad allergies (particularly to certain microorganisms known as gram positive bacteria), to drugs that have required in-hospital treatment, or in people with bleeding disorders. Perlane® should not be injected anywhere except the skin or just under the skin.
Q What are some risks that may be experienced?
A As with all procedures like this, the injection of Perlane® carries a theoretical risk of infection and formation of scar tissue. The safety and effectiveness of Perlane® have not been established in the treatment of lips, in nursing mothers, and in patients under 18 or over 65 years of age. Perlane® use in nursing could harm you or the nursing child.
The use of Perlane® in African-American patients can result in hyperpigmentation (darkening of skin color), which may take several weeks to correct. If you have had herpes before, an injection can cause the herpes to come back. The safety of Perlane® used with other skin therapies such as laser, mechanical or chemical peeling, and hair removal has not been established. The use of Perlane® in these skin therapies may not work or they may damage your skin. You should avoid exposing the area(s) treated with Perlane® to excessive sun or UV lamps, and extreme heat and cold until any redness or swelling has disappeared.
