By lifting the brows and smoothing out forehead lines and wrinkles, brow lift surgery (sometimes called a forehead lift) can often take years off your appearance. If sagging eyebrows, a deeply furrowed brow, or pinched lines above the nose are making you appear older or more tired than you feel, a brow lift may be a good surgical option for you.

A browlift can:

• Reduce forehead creases.
• Decrease sagging skin under the eyebrows.
• Eliminate frown lines between the eyes.
• Diminish furrowed lines on the bridge of the nose.
• Correct mismatched or straight eyebrows.

Some people have a brow lift at the same time as other facial rejuvenation procedures, such as a facelift, mini facelift, neck lift, upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), lower eyelid surgery, BOTOX, Restylane, or Collagen.

What Happens During a Browlift?

The incisions for a browlift are very small and behind the hairline where they cannot be seen. The skin is then tightened and lifted to reduce wrinkles. If you wish the shape or placement of your eyebrows to be changed, that can be done as well.

Brow Lift Recovery

While you can expect some soreness, bruising, and inflammation after your brow lift, most people are surprised to discover that the recovery is easier than they thought.

You should be able to return to work and normal activities within a week or two, and pain medication can help you through any discomfort, if necessary.

At your consultation, Dr. Robinson will talk with you about what you would like your eyebrow lift to accomplish. You will also see brow lift before and after photos of others who have had the surgery. Dr. Robinson will then take pictures of you to serve as your “before pictures”. After you have fully recovered, he will take “after pictures” and give you both sets of photos. It can be exciting to compare the differences. Of course, your photos will not be shared with anyone else unless you consent.
