In recent years a set of Plastic Surgery procedures has been growing in popularuty and has been termed the “mommy makeover”. This is really several procedures which can be done at the same time to restore a woman’s figure after childbirth. Even though it is called by one name, it is a customized approach and different for each person.

Typically the procedures done for the mommy makeover are tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), liposuction of hips and thighs, and a breast lift or augmentation. It can also include facial rejuvenation procedures if desired. Obviously, the best time to do this is when you are sure you are done having children.

I do these procedures as an outpatient at a certified and accredited outpatient surgery facility. I am a board certified Plastic Surgeon. It is very important that you ask your surgeon if he/she is a board certified Plastic Surgeon and for safety preasons it is almost always best to have procedures done in a surgery center as opposed to a physician’s office.
